NEW Workshop Offering!
Self-Care in the Fourth Trimester
There are many ways people try to prepare before having a baby: taking birthing classes, building furniture and setting up the nursery, learning how to care for a newborn. But what about preparing to care for yourself? The postpartum period is full of changes and challenges, and statistics show us that 1 in 5 women experience clinically significant anxiety and depression while pregnant and postpartum. With this 1-hour workshop, conveniently offered virtually for your ever-busy schedule, you can learn about the impacts of pregnancy and postpartum on your mental health, what are “normal” experiences during this period, and when you should reach out for help. You will leave the workshop with an understanding of what this time period may be like, and specific and concrete ways to care for your whole self during this time, with the aim of buffering the impact of these challenges on your mental health. You take care of everything else before baby arrives- don’t forget to care for yourself.
